Definitions
Graffiti:
Definition-Writings or drawings scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place.
“The station was covered in graffiti.”
Art:
Definition- The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.
‘the art of the Renaissance’
‘great art is concerned with moral imperfections’
‘she studied art in Paris’
The Differences And Similarities Between Graffiti And Art:
Differences:
-Graffiti doesn’t always have permission while art normally does.
Similarities:
-They can both be a version of art.
Question:
Is Graffiti Art Or Vandalism:
People have different opinions about graffiti.
I believe that graffiti is both art and graffiti. It can depend on what is drawn or written, if there is a message, where it is and who it effects. For example look at these images:
